Gully Erosion Susceptibility Assessment using Multivariate Regression Model (Case Study: Kiasar, Southern Mazandaran Province)

author

Abstract:

Gully erosion when it comes to positive processes in the most severe operating conditions and the most favorable conditions for the performance of other words is a positive process. One of the most important issues discussed gully erosion monitoring and evaluation of benchmarking is to extract and identify the type of erosion. In this paper the groove factor and drainage ditches, and selected as the dependent variable and measures such as lithology, land use, soil. figures from the Regional Physiographic characteristics (slope, aspect, topographic wetness index, the amplitude factor and the power factor) as independent variables or risk factors using multivariate regression methods based on maximum correlation between the dependent variable and variables regression equation between the factors we extract an independent venture. Independent variables with the dependent variable was dedicated channel to each of the factors underlying coefficients. Susceptibility to erosion in the ditch next step was divided into five categories and the results became clear that the greatest contribution in terms of sensitivity to ditch the factors lithology, soils, topography and land were allocated to the moisture index. line with the classification based on floor area of greatest sensitivity to erosion, gully erosion, low and lowest share belongs to the class is too much erosion.

Investigation of Gully Erosion by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process Model Case study: Roudbar, Gilan Province, Iran

Gully erosion is one of the geomophological phenomenon that causes numerous losses to farmland, rangeland, roads, and increased sediment rate. Recognition of the causes and modeling gully erosion has an important role in watershed management, which aids in preventing the destruction of lands in sustainable development. In this research, a gully erosion map was prepared with the use of airp...

Accuracy Assessment of Gully Erosion Susceptibility Map Using SVM and MARS Methods in Shazand Watershed

Gully erosion found to be typical erosion form in semiarid and arid landscape. Because of the importance of this phenomenon, various studies have been conducted around the world to assess gully erosion and its effects. The purpose of this research was accuracy assessment of gully erosion susceptibility maps using SVM and MARS models in the Shazand watershed. Acquiring information about the gull...

assessment of gully erosion zonation methods (case study: abgendi watershed)

surface. the development of gullies causes the loss of a great amount of soil and could be considered as one of the principal causes of geo-environmental degradation. in this research fazi model introduced for gully erosion zonation in arid and semiarid area considered to calibration and validation in kahkiloeh and boyerahmad province. therefore, the abgandi watershed were selected by considera...

Gully Erosion after Wildfire

Predicting runoff and erosion from watersheds burned by wildfires requires an understanding of the spatial structure of both hillslope and channel drainage networks. We investigate the small-scale and large-scale structures of drainage networks using field studies and computer analysis of 30-m digital elevation model. Topologic variables were derived from a composite 30-m DEM, which included 14...
